Why Texas ranks highly among 'Top States for Business'

Jul 15, 2016

Texas held on to its second-place rank on CNBC's annual list of the best states for business.

The Lone Star State ranked number 2 according to the latest edition of an annual survey conducted by CNBC.  Leander is also the fastest growing city in the nation of cities over 15,000.  We are delighted to share these great results, but we already knew we would rank in the top as we live and work here everyday.

The most recent survey scored the states on about 60 measures of business competitiveness. The scores were based on input from business and policy experts, government sources, CNBC's Global CFO Council and the states themselves.

The study ranks states based on how the states sell themselves from an economic standpoint.

Texas scored highest in the economy and infrastructure categories, coming in at first and second, respectively. We are so proud to live in a state known for its pro-business attitude and policies.
